FlyingDovesAndCavemen.

I have to say, it's quite chilled in Malaysia right now. It's Typhoon season which means it rains every single night, but I'm kind of thankful it does. I didnt get the sudden heat rush when I stepped outside of KLIA. It was slightly windy with probably 20% humidity. (Might lack accuracy but hey, I was relying on my toes to feel the weather. )

As you do.

Best time of year I would say.
So how was my day you persistently ask..?
As if you would be remotely interested in how my day went. But I guess this is my blog.
And I'm talking to myself, or atleast a figment of my imagination... (maybe I should give you a name. like. Blob. Or Hailes. I like that name. Don't you?)

Well of course you do. Because that has officially been assigned to as your name. [:

God i'm such a weirdo.....

So. I had to wake up at the most earliest hour yet.
8am.
It was tough. It was daunting.

But I did it. (-YUS!-)

My To Do List.
  • Hand in Study link and try and find my record of results for NCEA Lvl 3.
  • Go to clocktower to ask about my Uni application and why hadn't they received my damn documents.....
  • Go buy my brother some last minute stuff.
  • Go fetch forms from ASB for mum.
Be back before 11am.

Oh yeahh. That was an accomplishment. I felt like Xena the Warrior princess after I was done with that shit.
Less glorious of course.
Nevertheless, my day was filled with me running around like a crazy person trying to get things done.
It didn't feel like I was about to go on holiday at all in all honesty...
I use to get that feeling you get the night before you go on holiday.. that knot in your stomach because your so damn excited to be flying out to some place more foreign than your own.
Flying was my favourite part of my holidays (as odd as that sounds.... )
It still is, I'm just not that excited about coming here anymores..

Nevertheless..
the flight to Melbourne was... entertaining [:

 My view from my seat.
I hate getting seats next to the wing. It pisses me off because I can't see jack most of the times.
Its hella annnoying.
Add THAT to 'Shannen's List of Pet Peeves'
<heh>

Oh. And i would also like to share with you this.
I may sound REALLY old fashioned or.. like I've been living under a rock for the past century...
but. As I was flying economic class...
DID YOU KNOW THEY HAVE SOCKETS AND USB PORTS AND SHIT?!
I was utterly amazed at that.
That made my day.
You don't see that on MAS.
Or.. maybe you do. And I just haven't stepped out of my rock in decades.
I thought these only exist in First/business class :( ...

Anywho.
The trip to Melbourne was quite fun. I slept most of the time onboard. BUT I did watch Letters To Juliet.
That was a good movie I guess.
Amanda Seyfried is such an extraordinary actress. She does so well in these kinds of films. I never really got her character in Mean Girls.. But Mamma Mia was truly amazing. So was Dear John.

So the food onboard Emirates...
I would rate that 6/10. Not so much for my liking...
It lacked... flavour.
However, this is airplane food we're talking about. But heck. MAS and Singapore Air has amazing food.
Maybe I'm too bias.

When I reached Melbourne I realise how amazing Australia looked at night compared to New Zealand. Maybe because of the big population difference but it seriously looked so beautiful with the surrounding lights around the airport.
Maybe I should consider living there instead of Canada. However it might be too hot and humid for my liking. I like it Cold. ..Yup.

Ignore my cameras incapability to focus correctly. I swear to you it looked amazing.
:(
Why couldn't we have gone on holiday to Aussie. After spending 6 hours lazing around Melbourne Airport, i went to go walk around the shops at like 12am at night and started talking with this guy who was a shop assistant.
MAN his accent was amazing. Aussie is starting to grow on me.
Anywho. Australia is quite expensive. While I was surfing the stores, I came across a cafe.
Like no kidding. They had pies for $8. Which is probably like $10-$12 NZD ?
Are you serious?
Internet was $2 per 15 minutes.
Fuck.
Their standard of living must be amazingly high. However their salary makes up for it no?
Anywho. The 6 hours went by fast. Did a little light reading. Watched My Sisters Keeper on my laptop which I would recommend EVERYONE to watch. Shopped around with the Aussie money I had.. slept a little.
Alls well ends well.

Not too excited. But I guess if you go on a trip with high expectations, you're not going to really get the most out of your trip.
Hopefully the best is still in stall for me [: ...

p.s.
Did you know they built a mini Jungle inside the KUL arrival area ?
